Good habits to practice

Q: Are there any good habits to enhance my practice?

A:

Here are some suggestions for effective and efficient results from the Dahn Yoga:

Practice daily
Regular practice brings about rapid changes in the body and mind. Make time for the practice and do it regularly.

Cultivate moderate emotional responses
The human body and mind are affected by the emotions. Different emotional responses affect different parts of the body. The stomach is weakened by stress, lungs by sadness, kidneys by fear, heart by excessive excitement, liver by anger. Excessive anger will deplete energy reserves and exhaust the body.

Refrain from excessive drinking, excessive sex, overeating and overworking
The Ki(Chi)-energy accumulated in the body will be dissipated by overindulgence. Excessive drinking and eating exhaust the digestive organs and shorten the recovery time between meals. Excessive sex and work, stress the organs in the body by dissipating the energy gained from the Dahn Yoga.

Live a harmonious life
The purpose of Dahn Yoga is to discover and enjoy a meaningful life secured on a strong foundation of a healthy mind and body. It is recommended for practitioners to be cooperative, kind and devoted to their family and friends.
